Because Pro Guitar Tuner is chromatic you can tune most types of stringed instruments.
High-quality samples of real instruments are also accessible (i.e. tune by ear if preferred!). A massive library of different tunings for guitar, bass, balalaika, violin, ukulele and more makes it easy to find more qualities and characteristics from your instrument.
The interface:
To make it more intuitive, we give you information about the current pitch in many different ways:
*Cents for the current pitch
*A red/green light indicating the closest pitch
*A note wheel corresponding to the chromatic scale
*A fretboard with the current tuning setting displayed
Standard guitar is set as default but the guitar tuner can be used to tune many different instruments, such as:

*Bass guitars - Standard, 5-string bass and 6-string bass

After you have selected an instrument you choose a specific tuning. The app provides you with over 200 custom tunings.
The tuning options are divided into groups to make them easier to find. For guitar, the categories are:

*Minor open tunings (cross-note)

I Like It!
Very, very accurate. The microphone might be a little to sensitive, especially in a room with some noise but it still picks up the strings just fine.

Do not upgrade to Premium!
I used this product for a day or two, then paid $5.99 to upgrade so I could do more with it including turning ON my iPad microphone which works just fine. It isn't listed as wanting access to the mic. ALSO I wanted to turn the display so I could see the tuner in lanscape mode (easier to see for me) can't do that either. I see NO difference between downloading the Free version vs the Premium. I can ONLY use the tuner in portrait mode and only for guitar. Something is seriously wrong with the overall programming. My iPad works just fine.

Upgrade Issues
Hello -
I had upgraded to premium before, but now the app is telling me I need to do so again. I am unsure why. Every time I try it tells me there's an error and to contact you. So, this is what I'm doing. Hoping you can help get me back to premium again without having to double pay.
If this is resolved I'd happily give five stars. It's a great app otherwise.
